Quality, no frills option, needs more care to close and clean. Good for single adult user.
Anyone buying a quality toilet will soon clock the pan is only half the financial story..some of the seats can really bump up the price! I wanted a traditional(ish) looking toilet..rounded bowl and some suggestion of the trap, the d code was a budget option and as I was looking for a compact projection I went for it. The seat was unfortunately out of stock at Duravit at the time so I pleased to find on eBay. I think the one I bought was a return/the box was opened, I found one of the hinges “washer” wasn’t properly seated and this meant the seat had an uneven gap, one side was up, I managed to solve by putting a larger nut loose on the thread and tightening the original nut behind it, the large nut acted on the washer pushing it back to its mark. Seen some complaints about this not being soft close, the “plastic hinge” which I assume is is £85!! Your choice!! As it was just for my use and I don’t have kids or many visitors even I was fine with being careful not to let it crash down and spend the £30 difference elsewhere, the only thing I miss is it’s not quick release, I really like a quick release seat as you can clean right behind it by taking it off. This one doesn’t have any dirt traps and seems well thought out, the buffers look as if they won’t yellow and I think if the seat free falls they are generous enough to save your hearing. It’s comfortable/very rounded..personally I prefer the look with the lid open, I’d rather have just the seat and no lid..school style! I’m weird like that!
