A well-rounded children's tale with exceptional illustrations.
Apart from the illustrations, which are stunning, the story has a moral for children, 'do as mother asks or face the consequences'. Luckily for these children, their mother was canny enough to beat the witch, Heckedy Peg, and rescue them. It's a book I bought many years ago for my children when they were small, and lost it somewhere during several house moves. I love everything about it and best of all, this one is the hardback version. I'd recommend this book, and have, many times, to anyone who loves a well-rounded children's tale with exceptional illustrations.
