I have always been interested with regards the history and development of words we use everyday Chambers Dictionary on Etymology the origin and development of written English is both fascinating and revealing. You never know what will turn up flicking through this hefty book at a great price and fun to read. . A dictionary of suppresses and ideal for a general read when you have time on your hands,. this volume is big so you'll need a big table to make it at home
