I have only just started this book, having just finished the Clan of the cave bear and I wanted to continue the story of Ayla. I love the way the author has used scientific researched about human evolution from neanderthal to cro magnon and then woven this into beautiful stories. The meticulous detail about life in the clans, magic,folk law, hunter gathering, relationships between clan members and the others is so interesting. Love these books.
