    The artist Sven Berlin was a controversial figure in the St Ives art scene in the 1940s and 1950s. This autobiography tells us about the experiences and influences that led him to become an artist and sculptor, drawing him to St Ives. He writes about his difficulties with some fellow artists and close companionship of others..
