stuck with trying to train a puppy, The Puppy Whisperer is the answer
This book is compelling reading with regard to puppy training. If you can't afford a trainer this gives you loads of very good ideas of what to do like rewarding good behaviour and ignoring bad behaviour, and the best ways of doing it. It is surprising how quickly a puppy learns using these training techniques.
