Thorough overview of UK singles releases '60s to '89.
Niche interest, but for anyone seeking to trace release history for British singles in the post-78rpm era (early 1960s) towards the end of the 45rpm era (1990) across all formats, this tome is for you. It's incredibly comprehensive and was the in-store bible for most music shops in pop's 1970s and '80s heyday, deriving data direct from record labels. It isn't a perfectly complete history; the author acknowledged some labels didn't always provide full details of all artists' repertoires, and some releases are clearly omitted. Dates of release are usually only to the month/year not exact day, and deletions may only be a year where indicated.
