Why Don't They Teach This At School?!?!
Wow!! I'm barely through Chapter 1 and I've already learned how to multiply any number - even big ones - by eleven. AND get the right answer! I'm about to tackle the rules for multiplying by twelve... I've only glanced through the rest of the book, but it looks interesting, much more interesting than actually failing to learn my times-tables at school was. Maths without tables.
First read this book 40 years ago. Wanted to re-read it as I am helping a 12 yr old boy with special needs. The book is an inspirational story and gives an intriguing insight into mathematics without knowing tables.
