I wanted to understand the Chinese Tao way of being in life but the books i borrowed from the library led me to think that i was stupid because i could not grasp the meanings written amidst the pages. Benjamin Hoff has studied Tao teachings and its story's and has put together a readable book full of wisdom that is easy to relate to, easy to follow, and easy to remember. Lacking, somewhat.
A colleague recommended this book to me - so, I bought it. Now, I dont know if I'm being a little 'thick' but I didn't understand what was going on!! Lots of comparisons made between the characters in Winnie Pooh and Taoism. But there seemed to be something missing - it appeared disjointed (it didn't flow). With the aforementioned in mind there were one or two things that I did 'chime' with whilst I was reading the book. I always think that if you come away with one or two 'nuggets' then it's been worth it.
