be careful with latest western europe map
the tom tom one version three originally came with an internal memory of 1gb .unfortunataley while that was enough for the original western Europe maps including united kingdom ,it is no longer sufficient to hold that full map with all the updates and new road additions . Consequently if you purchase a second hand one and is loaded with ONE of the following area maps ie northern Europe -western area -southern Europe ,any one of these will prohibit you from downloading full western Europe including the uk maps as the file is too large (1024mb + ) .So you have to accept the one called west Europe (uk ,france ,Netherlands etc ) . for me this means downloading a separate map for spain and deleting on the device the uk when not needed . very annoying .Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Touring the Rockies
Am still to use it as I've not gone to Canada/USA yet to try it out. It came the next day and is exactly as described. To hire one would have cost about £125 for three weeks but this cost 1/3 of that so quids in. If I do not go again I can always sell it on. Was in Yellowstone and New England last year on a fly drive and the one I hired was difficult to use but cost a small fortune. My first hotel after arriving is already loaded into the unit so I wait with bated breath to see if it gets me there!
