Would not want to be non-weight bearing without it!

Great quality, easy to adjust and fit. Directions are detailed. There is a slight learning curve to using it but the iwalk website and youtube videos are very useful. I had to be non-weight bearing due to an ankle injury for 3 weeks and after 1 week was so glad I had ordered the iwalk. It was very useful around the house for laundry and cooking dinner. I am now on 3 weeks of non-weight bearing and have a minimum of 2 more to go and would have paid significantly more for this product had I needed to!

  • Most critical review

    Too heavy for comfort

This knee walker is very sturdy. My complaint is its weight. I am fairly lightweight (~118lbs). I have a fairly active life and have not had previous joint issues, but the weight of the knee walker caused a lot of pain in my knee and hip. I discontinued use and switched to a scooter hoping to avoid any longterm damage to my knee. I wanted to love it, I love the concept, but just too heavy for me!

  • Hands free recovery for foot & ankle injuries/surgeries,,,,,,MUST HAVE

A MUST have if you are in need of a mobility product!!! You can only use it if you have injuries of ankle or foot. What is great about it is you can walk around hands free. Once it's together, you can throw it in the car and it attaches with 3 clasps. I went up and down stairs with no problem. You have to make sure you have ALL straps super tight for best stability. My legs are skinny so I added padding to the thigh strap. The surgical boot helps with the other 2. It is easy to assemble if you watch the YouTube videos. I only use my crutches for short trips and use the iWalk for ones where I need to do multiple things, cook, clean, water plants and carry food/water.

  • life changing

Well built, fairly easy to assemble and adjust (do follow the instructions!). This is life-changing for anyone with non-weight bearing lower leg injury. Having my hands free allows me to do things around the house such as cleaning, preparing meals, get the mail etc with much less hassle than crutches. It does take a little longer (~30s) to put them on than just grabbing the crutches which is why I still use the crutches for quick runs where I don't have to carry things.

  • Great Product

After researching different means of getting around after foot surgery, I located and purchased the IWalk 2.0 knee crutch. The unit was easy to assemble with clear instructions. It fits securely, and is stable to walk on with the large base/foot. Further, with proper placement of the straps, it fits comfortably and can be worn for sometime. I found it far more convenient, and easier to use, than standard crutches. Your hands are free, giving and added feeling of security against the possibility of a slip or fall, and the ability to carry items.

  • Good alternative

This product is a good alternative to regular crutches. Definitely made getting around a lot easier. However, it was uncomfortable to sit down in, so I would only wear it when I was going to be on my feet for an extended amount of time. It does take practice to get used to and your "good" leg will definitely be tired. I would advise new users to practice using it before you need it if you can.

  • Must need for ankle/foot injuries!

I had a ligament repair of my ankle and had to be non-weight bearing for 4 weeks. Due to general discomfort/swelling after surgery, I was not able to use the iWalk 2.0 for longer distances until about a week or two after surgery. After that it was a lifesaver! It was great to be able to cook, do laundry, blow dry my hair, etc. without worrying about balancing on crutches and having my hands tied up. I would definitely recommend!

  • Great idea, poor patient execution.

I had an ankle replacement. I got my iWalk a week prior to surgery so I could practice. I took it with me to the hospital so I could use it after surgery with the physical therapist. I flunked. I was just too unstable on it, so I ended up with a knee walker. I am a 63 year old grandma, maybe this was a bit too optimistic for me. I am going to give it another try once I am 4 weeks post op.

  • so much better than crutches

I started using this yesterday after a foot reconstruction. Wasnt real steady on it right away so i started with crutches. However I'm still recovering from a full torn rotator cuff surgery and that didnt work so well. So today im using the iwalk and its so much easier. Its definately worth the investment!
