Solid as a brick and just as heavy. I have been shooting with a Mamiya 7 for a few years, mostly landscapes, but had lost a few shots due to incorrect filter placement, so decided to try this SLR. Film loading can be tricky and is easier with the Mamiya. The camera is significantly heavier than the Mamiya, as are the lenses, maybe double. The mirror slap and shutter release are big, noisy events! MLU is pretty much essential for tripod use, which is realistically the way to shoot it anyway. The viewfinder shows quite a bit less than you get on the film, but at least I can see to position the filters accurately! Overall, an awesome piece of photo equipment. Good: Built like a tank Bad: About as heavy as a tank.
