Only 15 years old and already an antique, I refurbish these as a sideline but that won't make my review dishonest When it works great and aaarrhh when it doesn't The most common problem I find is simply the wrong charger, iPhone chargers are not powerful enough, 2.1 A or higher is the best I'd say that 90% of the not working for spares only ipods I buy burst into life as soon as connected to the right charger and then once I replace the old swollen battery the hard drive problems go too Put one on a now cheaply available bose sound dock to really appreciate the sound qualityVerified purchase: Yes
