compact, lightweight and super suction
Our old Oreck compact vacuum lasted almost 20 years before the cord frayed at the handle and was unrepairable otherwise I'd still be using it as it worked very well. That being said when it came time to buy a new one we stayed with the Oreck brand because of it's durability and longevity. The compact vacuum is lightweight and with the shoulder strap it allows you to move things with one hand while still vacuuming. Overall a very good product.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Nice little unit ! Quiet as in not screaming . Good power though it does lose suction as the bag fills . Cleans above the floor well as advertised .(smooth and hard surfaces ) . I keep it tucked up close under my left shoulder and work with my right hand . Left arm steadies machine and left hand is for the most part free to tend the cord or whatever . Overall pleased.
I had an older version of this vacuum that I used for over 20 years. The hose would come out occasionally while using, because there was nothing to keep it in the vacuum. This newer version screws into the vacuum easily. The cord on the newer version is longer and heavier (more insulated?). Not thrilled with the added weight.
