DO NOT BUY this
Not a great condition at all. Not a 5.5 gen either. It didn't work at first so I opened it. A lot of parts were loose and some screws were missing. One chip was fell apart from the logic board and that was the reason of mal-function. I attached it again and it booted, hard disk was not able to read, nor resettable so I changed it to new iFlash which I was preparing beforehand and it finally normal apple logo appeared. S/N was MA002LL which means it was originally 5 gen 30 GB. Not 5.5 gen nor 80 GB.

Can't tell the difference with this between brand new and refurbished!!
Very pleased with my purchase. Worth the $ I paid for it and highly recommend. I think the battery life is good considering the generation of this ipod. I'd say it lasts approx 1.5-2 hrs of straight music. The screen and casing has no flaw, not a scratch. Easy to use and navigate in my opinion. Sound quality is good enough for me. I didn't want a touch screen, I like the click wheel. My old ipod nano got stolen, so it was time for a new one. I wanted lots of storage space, a good battery life, and great sound quality. I read reviews from lots of different models and landed on this one. It arrived, I've been using it almost daily for two weeks (only had to charge it once or twice in that time) and I'm very happy with it! Excellent refurb, amazing sound!
I did some extensive research on what ipod sounded best. It's the 5.5 generation that has the best audio chip, so I immediately splurged. The interface might not be cellphone fast, but it feels amazing scrolling through all your collected discography. Also the best surprise ever was that there's a music quiz. It plays part of a song and you guess the name. Brilliant! Apple music files do not work, but if you bought the music from iTunes they sync just fine.
