Good value fun clock.
I bought the clock the clock because its fun. Its good value and some of the bird song is not exact in my opinion but the quality is good for the price- i would have prefferred a real wood frame- but my friends love it and I am going to order two more , one for each of them . Great if your car is being stolen
The clock itself functions well as far as time keeping goes. The pictures of the birds are also very pretty. Unfortunately, on this particular version of this type of clock (there are more expensive ones out there) most of the 'bird calls' are VERY loud and sound like a car alarm. I have This clock in my bathroom which is downstairs. I have been woken up at 6am by ' Barn Owl' aka 'screeching smoke alarm'. My bedroom being upstairs and in the opposite corner of the house. If you are tempted by a clock of this sort I would recommend going for the more expensive version and possibly checking out the sounds on You Tube before hand.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Awful sounding bird songs
I bought a clock just like this around 10 years ago and it was perfect. The bird songs were spot on and I loved the clock. Unfortunately, possibly with age, the bird songs ceased so I decided to buy a new clock. This is actually the 2nd clock - sent the first one back as the bird songs were absolute rubbish. Apart from the fact that, despite trying numerous times, I couldn't match the song with the bird, all the sounds were awful and screeching. Cheap not cheep; not the best version on the market.
I have had birdsong clocks before and enjoyed them, though eventually the birdsong part usually fails, hence I was buying a replacement. Previous versions that I have had have 'chimed' on the hour with a reasonable recording of birdsong. This version just gives off a harsh electronic squawk. My mistake for buying cheap. If you want a reasonably attractive clock, then I guess it's OK and you could leave out the battery for the chime, but that ain't how it's currently being sold.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Rubbish
I purchased this clock for my 89 year old Mother who just loves the cheery birdsong all year round. Ordering was no problem, arrived on the alloted day, fitted batteries and hung it on the wall. It worked until the second hand got caught on the minute hand, easily corrected, but the hourly birdsong was reduced to just an owl at midnight , appropriate but not the desired effect. I contacted the company who , instead of just replacing it , suggested I follow their complicated 'returns' procedure so that they can investigate the issue and maybe replace. Not the best
Was cracked on the back with small piece missing, and when batteries were in made a loud whirring sound second hand was whizzing round although clock kept good time. Some of birds sounds were unrecognisable. Didn't return gave to charity instead.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not very good

Sound distorts if not handled with great care.
Sound system broke quickly with ordinary handling, some birds then sounded as though they ahd been electocuted. I would rather have spent more with a better recording that didnt break. Pretty sure the sounds aren't birds
I bought this for my mum as she loves birds. I had to round to her house to take it down as the bird sounds sound like car alarms and it was making her dogs bark. I have since spent an extra couple of pounds on an RSPB one and it's so much better.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
