View angle and clock only issues
The weather station works well, is easy to adjust and looks nice. The only issues are the viewing angle which is bad if you put it above eye level or angled up but excellent if it is low or viewed from above. The view from the sides is excellent except at sharp angles. This could be an issue if you need to put it in a specific location. The clock is smaller and is difficult to see from a distance. Multiple stations can be placed in different areas using a single remote transmitter. The atomic clock works well after you set your time zone. Not good for wall mount
This weather station needs to be plugged in at all times in order to display information. The pictures do not show the cord, which limits where it can be used. I wanted a wall mounted weather station and was unable to use it where I wanted due to the cord/outlet situation. When not using the cord, you have to push and hold a button on the side to briefly display the information, otherwise the display is dark. This is awkward when the unit is hanging on a wall, and I could see the potential for it getting knocked to the floor. PRO: The price (refurbished but like new) Easy readability. (The colorful display is very nice with large numbers) Condition. (Though refurbished, there were no signs of wear) Mostly accurate. CON: The indoor temperature is not quite right, reading a few degrees higher than correct. After giving the required 14 days for accurate forecasting, the future forecast will often indicate rain and none comes. I suspect that a higher than 90% humidity causes it to forecast this, which here in East Texas, can often be erroneous. It has once changed the date and day to incorrect. Very Easy To Read, Accurate Weather Station
We have had several weather stations in the past, they either went through their batteries too quickly, or were difficult to read in subdued lighting. This one, however, neatly solves both problems. It is AC powered, so batteries are no longer an issue, and the large illuminated display is easy to read in any lighting. We are very pleased with this unit and find it to be quite accurate. Great unit
No problems with it setup easy and looks great. If I was designing one I would like to have the temp. To read in the ten’s also like 77.2. Also make the Time display larger. Viewing angle is OK, but I have it on my night stand above my bed and the angle makes the display very dim. Do not know about battery life as it is to new. Many features with nice display
Three days after setting it up, the outside temp began changing erratically every time it would refresh. Immediately I thought the outdoor sensor was defective and considered returning the station. After doing a complete reset as found online in the FAQ's (not in the manual as it should be), it has been working fine for two weeks now. The predictive forecaster requires a 7-10 day "learning" period to evaluate the barometric pressure and it seems fairly accurate although my previous Oregon Scientific did a better job for that. I like the size and the fact that you can see indoor and outdoor temperatures and humidity without pushing a button to change from one to the other like I had to do with my old weather station. The colors are vibrant and easy to see. The major disadvantage that I have is that I still cannot get it to adjust the time and date automatically. I have tried various places in my house but still no luck. You can set these things manually which is what I have done. Its ok
looks good, but the indoor temp seems to be 2 degrees higher, then any other device in the room. Forget the instructions, at the start it says put batteries in it and set it! WRONG you wont even get a display that way, you have to plug in in first, then set it! I guess the batteries are just for backup.
