A convenient way to preview slides prior to copying or showing.
Good points; Led light source gives more uniform and brighter light plus longer battery life. Build quality is good. Glass lens not prone to scratching. Convenient to use with reasonable 3 times magnification. Ergonomic. Bad point; The slide release mechanism is less than well designed. Slides quite frequently jam which means picking up the viewer and shaking it to release the slide. This is particularly problematic with old cardboard mounted slides. The eject button would have been much better placed on the top of the viewer which would have facilitated single handed slide ejection without having to steady the body with the left hand. It's a pity this minor fault detracts from what would otherwise be an excellent product.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Ok for what it is
The screen is quite small if you want to see any detail. The ejection system seems to work well with newer type plastic slide frames but not so well on the older cardboard ones, however, this is a minor quibble. Generally ok and does the job. It is ok for the price, you get what you pay for. If you need something that is quick and easy to sort slides this will probably work. If you are looking for a super professional all singing all dancing slide viewer with a big image, you may struggle!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Okay, not the best
Bought this for my portfolio to show my slides. I was impressed at first. But then the mechanism on the side, which makes the slides exit the viewer, broke within about 10 minutes of me getting it out of the box, so now I have to shake it to get the slides out - not professional at all. And I can't use it in my portfolio anymore for this reason. The lighting behind the slide is great and magnification is good, however dust can easily get into this, which has happened to me and I haven't a clue how to clean it. Would recommend for a cheap way to view your slides before scanning, but only for that .Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Slide viewer that also features film strip checking.
Very good product with nice even illumination. I guess long battery life with LEDs. Works well with slides but, film strips which is what I purchased it for, can be a bit fiddly to load if at all curled. The angled design makes it very comfortable for desk top use. A viewer that does the job
It's worth the money to buy this viewer rather than much less expensive and lower-quality alternatives. The viewer will also off an external power supply (not included) that can typically be purchased for around £10. It does have a slightly low-cost feel about it but the lighting is bright and even. Good value for money with good features.
A neat, sturdy viewer. I particularly like the little tray which collects the viewed slides after you eject them. The fact that it it is tilted at an angle means you have hands free when selecting/viewing slides and the eject button works well. Does the job
For the price, this does everything it should. My elderly mother was able to see slides from many years ago. However, cardboard framed slides do not pop out at the bottom very easily and she found the little buttons quite a challenge. For an able-bodied person this would be fine.
