Neo Noir at its prime!
I love almost any Neo Noir and this one is one of my favorites from the mid 90's when it had a resurgence, on par with LA Confidential IMHO.

Mullholland Falls: Watch It!
A fantastic, underappreciated gem of the neo noir genere. Sadly overlooked in comparison to L.A. Confidential. There is an amazing attention paid to period minutiae and a wonderfully executed sense of place and time. So I tell all fans of the hardboiled crime genere, give it a try; you may find a new favorite.
