The movie sleeping with the enemy is the best movie ever and it is awesome and excellent and amazing movie of all time.
Many years ago when VHS tapes were available I brought sleeping with the enemy and I loved this movie. Now I just ordered it on DVD and I can't wait for it to come. I love this move so much and that's why I gave 5 stars. It is absolutely the most awesome, excellent and amazing movie and I will enjoy watching it again once I receive it. Mixed feelings felt like Hope Floats & Double Jeopardy poorly mixed together.
Loved the premise of the thriller and it laid down a good base at the start setting up the roles of bad husband and partner and beaten wife who decided to escape. But a good movie and thriller should carry me along in it's own plot instead I felt like I was watching Double Jeopardy which was very well orchestrated and done. Perhaps this was a low budget film it often felt like it was. I did not buy for example when the wife made her escape to the house and took time to cut and flush her hair and pull of her ring and flush it too. REALLY? Reality would have you grabbing that hidden bag & maybe taking time to pull on dry clothes over your swim suit and dressing with shoes etc. Drying the floor was a good touch but you would get out of there asap. Cut the hair and loose the ring only after you were a long ways away. Slam on a wig using a hair net that is used for long hair and yeah get out of there. When I told my husband I wasn't impressed with the movie I said right away who would take a chance of cutting your hair and hoping all of it actually would flush and no one in their right mind would try to flush their wedding ring and not stick around to make sure it flushed. So they lost me really early. Then I just never felt comfortable with the neighbor as a love interest. He acted fine if not really good but he pushed too hard and demanded too soon information etc. At this place it switched to Hope Floats kind of movie and then there was the repeated almost run ins during the visit to her Mom and NO WAY would she not have actually SEEN HIM. If you are on the run you are hyper watchful of your surroundings. So just failed on numerous occasions. The bad guy in her house leaving hints he was there again just didn't wash the way it was done. Repeat warnings and she didn't get it. In Real life once again she would have gotten dressed or attempted to dress instantly if not gone for a phone for help. NOPE the other movies did a much better job. I didn't check time lines to see what movies came out ahead of each other but it still left me frustrated and confused why they didn't do a better writing and directing. The actors were good. Love this move of strenth.
