I cannot comment on the longevity claim for the product yet. However, whilst changing the bulb, I changed one side of the vehicle first to enable a comparison with the existing 'brake and tail' bulb. When checking the new brake bulb brightness, I found it was marginally brighter than the old one. Old-school, but...
Hopefully, these will be longer-lasting than the standard type of filament bulb. I've spent £s on modern LED 1157 bulbs which all seem to be deficient in the contrast between stop and tail brightness, and which are not as reliable as they might be either.
