    DREMMEL 3000

I purchased this item for my hubby and he has found it extremely helpful, is easy to use and very good quality. He had a cheaper version which was no where near the quality of the DREMMEL 3000. Comes in a very nice padded case for added protection. Only a couple of 'cons' he said regarding the tool[them being]was the need to purchase more 'attachments' for it, which I believe cost approx £8 and he also purchased a universal chuck to fit to the end of the DREMMEL purely because he found it quite tedious using the small tool provided when I bought it for him as he constantly was having to change the head attachments. DREMMEL do sell that part separately and again it cost approx £8 .. Having now changed the tightening chuck it's far less fiddly to change heads constantly which he needs to do in his line of work .. Bit of a shame that the universal chuck needed to be purchased adding to the cost but is far easier to use the DREMMEL 3000 if you add that part on! Over all worth every penny and would recommend people don't waste their money on a cheaper version of this tool. 👍

    Replacement for a dead Dremel

Had to buy a new Dremel to replace one that died after the previous on died after 18 months of occassional light use. This one was good value, and they do a great job - when they work...

  • Quiet and powerful

Robust, easy to use tool with a lot of power compared to my 'cordless dremel'.I up graded because of annoying recharging the weighty battery;the corded new tool still same weight but more powerful and better off /adjustable speed switch.Only annoying thing was air vent ;-blowing (dust) toward my face,I hold tool so one of many vents doesn't do this.

  • Cool, Versatile, but .... not really cheap.

Cool and versatile tool. Need to get a book on the topic (mine did not come with cd in the pic). You can do SO much with it. Great Boys' toy too. Perfect for father day, Christmas, whatever. Having said that - many girls would love it too - as it is not too cumbersome. They would probably do better than boys using it ..... Be aware, though, that it comes almost "naked" - lots of accessories need to be purchased separately. That makes it rather expensive. Still - better than gambling on the cheap alternatives.

  • Just don't overload it

For the job of light tasks this is a decent enough tool, I personally use it for rosette routing in guitar making. The motor doesn't like being stressed though, so don't take deep cuts or the thing will inevitably die on you. Also, the collet lock button breaks prematurely on these things. You can work around that though, by filing a flat surface into drive shaft below the collet, for a pair of needle nose pliers to grip onto (see attached photos) This is my second Dremel in about 3 years I guess, the last one died after taking too much of a beating, so am hoping this one lasts rather longer if I take better care of it.

  • Handy little drill.

This is a great handy little drill. A little chunky but easy to hold and work with which makes using the drill comfortable and can be used for quite some time. There is a vast amount of tooling that can be used with this drill so whatever the job you want to do you will have the right tool for it. I highly recommend this drill as it makes any job easier and faster to complete.

  • Great little gadget

Not only an excellent product but lightning deliveryu as well. i bought this to replace my old dremel which had finally given up the ghost. This is a great little gadget and useful for so many odd jobs and craft work around the house. • Best there is

Bought this as a replacement for a current Dremmel that was beginning to malfunction. I bought this one 12 years ago and used it frequently so clearly robust. The new one appears to have the same build quality but with a an easier to hold case design. I'm using this one for accurate detailed carving on an arch top mandolin and so far it works well for tolerances less than 1mm though care needs to be taken as the power cord can affect it's balance. I would expect the cordless would resolve this for finer work. The drill arrived quickly, well packaged and no faults to date. It is not the cheapest on the market but certainly the best I've had so far.
