Great scanners.
The 536 is a great scanner. The fact that you can place all your information on a scan disk is an awesome idea. The scan rate is quick and I believe the 536HP is superior 996P2. Over the winter I had built myself a monitoring station so I could monitor various state police agencies local agencies and New York City police. I have several scanners running at the same time and the 536HP out performs all of them. I own two 536HP scanners and three 996. As far as loading scanner with frequencies, I suggest that you use the sentinel Software system and I also suggest that you watch the various YouTube videos on the scanner. Some people say that loading the scanner is difficult and I will say that it does have a slight learning curve. But once you start watching videos and working the scanner in conjunction with the video you will find out that it becomes easier and will start making more sense as time goes on. In closing, I am a scanner user from way back. I owned crystal as well as programmable scanners. This next generation of scanners and SDR are fun if you were willing to learn and have some computer abilities. Dose not work as promised
