Small, but a mighty punch!
This little card reader doesn't appear to be much, but does a superb job very simply. Used it to read and then format a compact flash card in a matter of minutes. Once it is re-used, the reading speed is more than enough to cope with a substantial storehouse of data. Looking to use it for Winuae and cf card amiga transfers you will be disappointed .OTherwise its a good tool
This device is all good for pc & Mac file transfers HOWEVER Those of you that are looking to utilize this for amiga files via a cf card will not have any luck i am afraid. All my computers have an SD slot but unlike those of a few years ago no CF card slot Also use with adapter to back photos up to my phone whilst travelling just in case my camera is lost or stolen. Affordable Integral CF Memory Card Reader
Not a speed daemon but usable as a portable means of transferring images from camera to Laptop. With small files from older cameras the transfer speed should not an issue. The outer shell is mainly plastic and may not take abuse but is fine for general handling. So far it has worked with no issues. If needing a CF card for heavy use as a professional in the field you would be better looking at a faster, tough device. Otherwise this should be good for a few years service. Dam good buy, I already have one, but due to the fact that Cards these days seems to be going towards SD rather than CF Flash. I thought it a good idea to get this great buy while its on offer. Does the job without hassle. Only used a couple of times so can't comment on reliability but price was right and even expensive ones suffer from bent pins! Just plugged a card into it then inserted it into a USB socket. Waited a minute while my laptop loaded the drive and it was up and running in no time.
