The Waterwise 8800 is a work horse. The newest ones are more simplified, with fewer "bells and whistles". I bought this old, low hours one as a backup. The "Ecowater" models are roughly the same. I have one of those, too. People with vulnerable, exposed water wells should not drink or cook with tap water. Water wells increasingly have become poisoning (arsenic) targets for domestic terrorists (posing as "the good guys"). Everyone should periodically test their well water for toxins.
