Saved my sole.
Bought to fix my waterproof trainers with a falling off sole. I had tried to do this with another shoe adhesive but it hadn't held for very long. This SHOE FIX glue comes in a generous 30ml tube which will do quite a few repairs. I cleaned my shoe as best I could; removing all mud and old glue; and wiped it with alcohol degreaser. I put plenty of glue into the split area and pressed it all together to cover both sides of the repair area. I then pulled it apart again for the glue to dry off and get tacky. Finally I pressed the sole tightly to the shoe in all areas and strapped it up as tight as I could with Gaffa Tape. 24 hours later I unwrapped the duct tape and the shoe looked very mended. After several walks with the dog the shoes are still intact and keeping water out. SHOE FIX is easy to use and works well, though I don't have information on the longevity of the repairs. There is plenty left in the tube if I need to repeat the procedure in the future.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Didn't work for me.
A pair of new Merrells where sole had split from the shoe. I assumed would be easy to glue back together as glue area was sizeable. It took 10 mins to set. However 2 weeks later when worn for the fist time, it came apart in about an hour. The glue appears not to have stuck to the show at all. Perhaps I should return to manufacturer for refund. Glue that shoe!
I have tried different kinds of glue for shoes previously but this one really worked. I used for a temporary plastic sole repair on breathable fibre shoe, but now I am loathe to bin the shoe as it worked so well. Plus I didn't wait full 24 hours before wearing, was ok after 14. It’s ok for a little repair, I suppose, but if it is for a cracked sole, for example in an area of high wear, you are better patching a new sole over the top as the glue came loose and dropped out after one wear. Seems to work well - was a bit sceptical at first as have glued soles back on walking boots a few times only for them to fail again a few weeks later, or often the issue is that it's not the glue which has given way but the materials have split or separated or torn, so you glue them back and they simply fail again a bit further along. Not for RC body shell reinforcement!
If you're looking at this as an alternative to the popular shoe goo strengthening of rc body shells then carry on looking as this one has solvents that will dissolve that nice paint job tou just put on. Really good strong shoe fix. After an accidental move with the machine wash cycle giving them a whole wash not just the drying cycle after a hand wash the trainers came out in four pieces with the soles apart.
