Very Good Value compared with branded batteries

Probably NOT 6Ah, BUT for the money it performs as well as the standard Makita 3Ah. I have only used the batteries for about 10 cycles and all is good SO FAR! If they remain reliable for a year then as far as I am concerned they are excellent value compared with the branded product

Cheap and quite cheerful OEM substitute

It’s well priced for the capacity but it is not the same quality as the Makita original. The fit in the Makita tool is stiff, it is hard to get the clip lock to locate. As a consequence of the clip lock not clicking in, the battery fell out of the tool onto a concrete floor. The casing cracked as a result, though I was able to tape it up OK. This is not a robust package but if used with care it does save a lot of money. Also it does not behave like a Makita battery in the Makita charger, it doesn’t seem to show any interim charge status. Does charge up OK though. So long as you are aware that this is cheap for a reason, and treat the battery accordingly, it is a reasonable alternative to the scandalously expensive OEM parts. If I was a professional relying on my tools for a living I wouldnt buy this.

  • Genuine Makita batteries for not much more than a copy...

Why buy cheap Makita copies when you can get the genuine item for another £10/battery. I've seen first hand what can happen when you use cheap copies. I purchased 2 genuine batteries from AHC Power Tools and can highly recommend these batteries.

  • Good battery.

Have used quite a few of this type of battery for various tools but these are some of the best so far. Cut 4 fair sized lawns with my mower without any loss of performance and still had plenty to go. No charge indicators but I can live without that if I know they are long lasting.

  • Good value for money

I am a DIY user of a Makita drill and haven't needed to use it much since it arrived but it charged fairly quickly and after hammer drilling into hard brick and mortar very successfully, it recharged once more in very little time. The original BL1815 supplied with the drill failed to hold its charge after about 3 years and the new one has a much longer AH life.

  • 3ah battery

This is a slimline battery half the size of the old makita 3 AH batteries. I have reverted to the 3 rather than the 5 or 6AH because I find them more reliable. This thinner battery allows me to get a drill or impact driver into more restricted spaces which has to be a good thing. Only one problem. My impact driver has a belt clip which generally sits at the side of the larger batteries but hangs an inch below this thinner one which means you can’t place the driver upright on the workbench.

  • Not used as yetv

The product looks good, but as I haven’t used it yet I cannot comment on the length of the charge.

  • Makita 6 ah battery

Original battery stopped working after 5 ish charges. Was sent a replacement with no quibbles. Replacement works very well, not as good as an equivalent Makita but a fraction of the price.

  • Batteries

I bought this for my Makita radio but wasn’t sure of the quality. I decided to take the gamble as it was a good price compared to Miakita batteries, Ive used it in my makita radio & it last all day, I would recommend these batteries only time will tell how good they are but so far so good.

  • Okay not perfect.

The battery I received was a 5.5 Ah not a 6 Ah. The unit didn't fit the charger easily put after a couple of operations it slides in okay. 5.5 Ah is sufficient for my needs, so generally I am happy with my purchase.
