Good for what it is
This is the best temporary guard on the market--Use only until you can get a custom hard occlusal surface guard made--This one is good because the biting surface is fairly hard---Make sure you only leave it on the counter/plate for 10 seconds after removing from the water--must be very pliable to press the rims into the interproximal spaces for retention---Can trim the gingival extensions if needed--Doesn't have the ability to make canine ramps that I incorporated in the guards I made to allow disclusion in lateral movements---Stop using if you begin hearing jaw joint popping or have joint pain--and get a custom made professionally adjusted guard....Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

ear your way through the night
works great. comes with thorough instructions. use microwave to heat as they tell you. I pictured heating water on stove-but no-you use microwave and it is quick. Easy to fit to mouth. I use cpap pillows, and now I feel I am resting better. I am a mouth breather and now I feel a lot of not sleeping well was that I was breathing thru my mouth., and grinding my teeth. Well with this in, my mouth stays closed and I am not grinding my teeth which was waking me up. I recommend. Years ago I got one made at dentist-let me tell you, cant beat this price for lliterally the same thing. Of course dentist one is made to last forever, however, your teeth don't always stay in same place forever esp if one gets pulled. And with this one you can reheat and reshape if not right. yes, this is way to go. ok, now I am back. I have had time to use this further-which sadly to say I no longer use. Yes it is inexpensive, easy to mold. however, it is too soft and has no benefit to the grinding of teeth. you are still able to grind and chew away because it is so soft. Needless to to say, i lost a tooth over this experiment. I will use one made from a professional. They are hard and you cannot bite down thru it or chew it as I could with the other.. Lesson learned. Not Worth It
I've used this Doctor's mouthguard before, but haven't been able to find them in the stores. I checked eBay, and they had an even lower price than previous searches. This product was not as easy to fit as the other one I had. The "sticky" on the product that is supposed to hold it in place was gone on the second night. I tried 3 times to get a good fit. Didn't happen. I'll use this only until I can find another, better Doctor's mouthguard. Sorry, but it won't be from eBay.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Favorite Mouth Guard
I've tried other mouth guards, and this one is the best I've found. Plus, it's pretty inexpensive! The Doctor's Night Guard only takes about 5 minutes to mold - 3 minutes heating water in the microwave (or on the stove), 30 seconds soaking the guard, and then about 30 more seconds to fit the guard. I have a small mouth, and I've found that other night guards make me gag, but this one fits so well! Also, I used one night guard for maybe a year before losing it. It really helped with my headaches, jaw pain, and tooth decay. After a while, I could see just how much I was grinding my teeth at night because I was cutting away at the guard! It's great to be able to visibly see just how much good it's doing. But don't worry - the guard didn't break apart, become uncomfortable, or useless. Better than a $400 custom made night guard
I bought this as a backup to my $400 night guard made by a dentist. I figured for the price, how bad could it be. It took me a couple of tries (hot water, forming, repeat) to get the fitment right, but I'll be damned if this isn't fitting better then the "professional" night guard. It also stays much cleaner and doesn't seem to get the same dingy discoloration that my $400 POS gets. The "pro" model now sits all alone by itself in the closet...I bought a few extra of the Doctor's, jut in case some ding-dong decides to stop making it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Does Not Fit or Stay in Place
I have tried many different night guards, this one is the worst so far. The size is to wide and there is no way to form it to fit smaller. It also won't stay in place, even when I redid the heating process. I would NOT buy this again.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Takes a little to get it right but well worth it!
This product seems very good. I have been wearing it for weeks now and have had no problems whatsoever. It keeps my teeth from grinding, doesn't have any bad taste like some other products and is very comfortable. I had to heat it three times before I was happy with the fit and it would stay on the teeth when I opened my mouth. I think there's kind of a learning curve to making it fit properly.
