This is the best plastic wheel you can buy in this price range. It's not silent, but it doesn't make the horrid squeaky rattling of wheels of yesteryear; just a quite rustling sound. Finding a good quality wheel to my hamster was probably the most difficult challenge since she is living with me... most wheels make very silly noises after a few weeks of use, but she’s been using this wheel for more than a month now and it’s awesome, doesn’t make any noise at all! First night with the new hamster mummy decide despite having a whole floor between us I needed a wheel that was much quieter. I had this one a couple of weeks now and you can barely hear it.
