Stunning pictures when it's working but unreliable and failed within a month. AVOID
AVOID!!! UPDATE: Only a month after receiving this TV, it began to fail to show a picture. This was initially a short delay but eventually it extended to tens of minutes and had to be switched off and on until it just refused to show a picture at all. When it did come on, it flashed perpetually. When you contact the LG warranty line, they prove fairly useless and over a week later, they still haven't rung me. i just get e-mails saying someone will. No good to me when the TV doesn't work. I will never buy another LG product. Original review: I bought this LG OLED Television based on great reviews so here are my thoughts. Firstly, any 65 inch screen has a downside, which is that low quality TV programmes actually look worse. Small screens make poor quality TV look OK but a 65 inch will highlight poor focus and quality. Secondly, in some programmes, it's like being in the room and it's more obvious they're acting. OK, the set itself - it's huge and quite heavy but get the right HD or 4k film and it's amazing. Factor in a sub to Netflix Ultra HD for the full experience. In terms of controls, I find the remote control cursor too sensitive and it needs a steady hand. The menu is good but I'm not convinced by the picture modes. Overall, I haven't had a chance to really explore the adjustability. I have added a picture of the set next to my old Samsung 40" TV so you can see the difference. I have also shown photos of the 40 vs the 65 in situ. It's a lot bigger than photos make it appear.
