Rejuvenate your laptop!!
My 8 year old Dell laptop has been given a new lease of life. Recently had the 100% disk error, along with an unreasonable boot up time. As it’s not used regularly it wasn’t financially viable to replace, so just replaced the hard drive using the Crucial cloning software (with guidance from YouTube). Crucial ssd cloning problems
Comes well packaged. Simple instructions ie how to download instructions/software, (Acronis.) Problem was I had bought the 500gb sdd but my laptop hdd was 700gb. ( my fault I know, but the hdd was only using 75gb!! Tried cloning, auto mode, failed obviously. Tried manual mode cloning, failed. (me setting the partions) Tried all modes including acronis setting the partitions etc. All failed and each try taking 90 mins!!! Solution was to use Windows 10 disk management tools ( disk partition) to reduce my original hdd to 465 gb. This cloned perfectly first time.( auto mode) Installed ssd in laptop, very easy My laptop now boots in 30 seconds and I'm logged in within 40 seconds, even with Windows 10 running its startup rubbish. Its very fast now, a great drive. Saved buying a new laptop! I'm very pleased with this drive, runs cooler now and battery seems to last longer. Good value upgrade for both speed and power efficiency
A very good value upgrade. I used it to replace my original HDD in an early 2009 iMac. I first cloned my HDD on the new SSD using a USB2-SATA interface. That understandably took a while, but was done overnight. Once I switched the drives over, the system booted straight away, no issues, and the speedup was sooo noticeable, like a new PC. Another bonus is that the power consumption is much lower and so there is less load on the PSU and much less heat for the cooling system to take out.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Dell laptop
All very straightforward with easy to follow instructions. However, after bringing the laptop back to life with the SSD, it goes on to suggest you download the memory manager software. I did this and enabled the cache enhancement, which restarts the computer. In my case however the laptop would not restart and I had to put the SATA drive back in to start then go through the whole process of cloning again taking another hour. Could not contact the online support chat at Crucial it would not accept any email address I entered to register. How to bring a 2012 MAC Mini back up to speed? Replace your old HDD with a Crucial MX500 SSD. This is as easy as it could get to bring my MAC Mini back to a similar or faster the speed than when I first booted the MAC without having installed apps. The drive comes with a spacer so it will fit correctly and effortlessly into a slightly taller drive bay. The supportining online guides to replacing an existing hard drive are simple and easy to follow. Just make sure you read them carefully before you proceed. Easy to setup and get working

Quick to fit and runs quickly
Using a USB to SATA adaptor to connect the SSD to my computer it was quick to clone my old drive to the SSD and expand the partition to use the extra space. Swapped the SSD into my computer and everything works well. The best way to give your laptop the same performance as a new laptop
I highly recommend this ssd made by crucial to anybody who is still running thier laptop with a hdd installed, really fast boot up and lightning fas program changing. I bought a ram upgrade from crucial just over a year ago, and was very pleased with the superb quality of their products.the fitting to my 9 year old hp7 pavilion i7 laptop has made it as fast as most new laptops running windows 10,it has saved me from buying a new laptop.
