Great beginning machine
The pe770 is a great embroidery machine for the price. It does have a learning curve. Users need to learn to hoop properly, use the correct stabilizer and needle for various fabrics. Read the manual cover to cover. It is well written. Also, there is lots of help on U-tube and Facebook groups. The machine is sturdy and comes with a 5x7 hoop. The seller included a starter package that is very useful. This machine has been replaced by the pe800, which is mechanically the same machine. The LCD screen had been updated and is now in color. Should have bought new.
Nothing but problems with this thing since I took it out of the box. Beyond frustrating. The presser foot doesn't come all the way down. It keeps eating my fabric. The stitches are skipping. The thread is bunching up under the fabric making knots all over the place. The top thread keeps coming unthread. The needles keep breaking. The touch screen only works sometimes. I've read and reread the manual many times and watched countless YouTube videos to try to get this to work correctly and I just can't. The affordable, high-quality PE770
The Brother PE770 Embroidery machine comes with a well-written manual. Following this manual, I easily learned how to use the machine, how to put fabric into the frame and how to attach the frame to the embroidery arm. Love the easy threading with the numbering system and the needle threader is easy to use. This machine has more than met my expectations and is a very reasonable price. The seller shipped immediately and the machine arrived 2 days earlier than expected. Also included was a free bonus package which included some tools, thread, bobbins and a cd of designs. I was disappointed with the quality of these designs as they were pictured, but have not stitched any of them out yet. Decent Embroidery Machine
So far, I'm enjoying the machine and it appears to do a decent job of embroidering. Reading the manual and watching YouTube videos have been great, especially the YouTube videos! I like that it's light enough to be easily moved from place to place and that it has a usb port to add additional designs. It's definitely a bargain compared to other machines I considered. great starter with slight problem

I got it !
It arrived and I was able to easily put it together but getting it going a bit more difficult. I opened the pkg I thought was a bit of stablizer so I coulld try it out and found a nice plastic cover for the machine. Surprise! Well I have a lot to learn but it does sttich nicely, threads easily, bobin set up and winding is easy. I want to learn how to get the applique mode going since that is what I am anxious to do. Great starter - no need to upgrade just yet
SUMMARY Great quality and value for at-home smaller projects. At about $800-$1000 less than what I had available locally, this was a great choice! Bought it as a starter machine (in case embroidery wasn't for me) but I love it and I doubt I will be replacing it any time soon. PROS Easy to use - auto needle threading, auto cut, repositioning & adjusting size of embroidery design is easy to figure out. Nice big hoop - fits just about all designs I've found so far. No need to buy specialty extra hoops. Very professional results - I'm very happy with the quality of the embroidery with this machine. It's my first one so I have no others to compare to but I have compared to items I've purchased made by others and the quality of the stitching is better! It's probably slower than other machines but I have no experience with that so it's fine by me! USB feature is so easy! - Mine came with an adorable sewing machine USB stick! It's so easy use new patterns on the machine. 1)Purchase/download 2)Save file to USB stick 3)Plug into machine 4)Press USB symbol 5)Scroll till you find the file or folder you saved 6)press the arrow button to upload and it's ready to use. CONS: Loud - It is quite loud when it's stitching. It's best tucked away in a separate work area so as not to disturb people. Display Graphics - The graphics are pretty bad, but I think all the "lower end" machines are like this. Great Machine
I have been watching this machine for quite some time now. Have an older brother's ellure, but really love this one because of the USB port. Downloading designs are much easier. The PE 770 gives you that professional embroidery look. The machine is user friendly and I am very excited about all of the features it has. Can't hardly wait to try the holiday designs. PE770 great reasonable machine!
Got this embroidery machine and ordered some embroidery thread. If u buy this machine, try different threads. I purchased 30 spools and this machine shredded each spool thread. Then I read other reviews and found each machine is different. Tried 4 name brand threads. The brother thread shedded, so did the excellent quality thread sulky, and coats...so... Embroidery machine
The Brother PE770 is a nice machine. Once you read the book, it is relatively easy to use. It comes with a significant number of templates to work with. I had some muslim I used to practice on, so once I switched to actual material, it was easy and fun. Working with Ken's Sewing Center has been great, too.
