TAYLOR'S BEST-VALUE ACOUSTIC GUITAR
I paid more than I should have for this guitar, but it was because of the unique grain on the top piece. Stunning, so I paid a bit extra for asthetics. No regrets! I get a lot of comments when I use it to lead worship. I don't care for the new on-board electronics, though the tuner works well. Thinking about changing that out...in the mean time, I can mic this guitar with exceptional sonic results. This is my 2nd GS Mini, the first being an all mahogany model, which absolutely owned the mid-range stage real estate. My new Koa model has superior sustain, and a unique tonal range that makes it a bit more interesting to listen to as a solo instrument. Light around my neck, great neck of its own with spot-on intonation, great sustain, easy to travel with, I love this guitar! This is my main player, song-writing and stage guitar. I dropped a GK-3 synth pickup on to this guitar, and now have a broad range of modeled sound options at my fingertips, in addition to its natural acoustic voice. If you are a beginner/intermediate, possess average to small size hands, or only own expensive guitars you'd rather not take out of the house, then you need to test-drive the GS Mini!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Will THIS guitar really fit your hands???
The frets are just too small/close for my hands. You'd think 7/8 would be large enough, but after just two days of practice, I realized it wasn't going to fit my fingers comfortably. Perhaps a more advanced player would be able to somehow compensate and make it work. All the time I was playing it, I kept wanting to pick up my Taylor 810... My hands are full XL in glove size, in case this will help someone with the decision. My mistake was not paying it enough MYSELF in guitar stores as I was shopping. I took along a friend who is excellent and did more listening than playing... I couldn't find a Koa I liked in local stores so went here... Be sure before you purchase!
