This is a sport plane with a broad range of talents. It can be flow quite slow so it might be an OK second airplane with the rates turned down. With the rates turned up it rolls quickly and can make extremely tight loops. From the box mine needed a lot of mechanical elevator trimming/adjustment but once you get it dialed in it tracks nice and straight through varying throttle settings. It flies inverted without down elevator (depending on your CG) and there plenty of power for lots of vertical.
I view this as a replacement for the Pulse (discontinued) and it got right what the Pulse got wrong. The fuselage is meaty and stiff so no flexing during high G maneuvers. The canopy has a crazy strong magnet latching it in place so instead of complaining about the canopy popping off in flight now you can complain that it's stuck on too well and is difficult to remove. Most importantly they got the elevator linkage right. There is no sponginess or elevator fade when pulling up hard.
While it's a great flyer it is not a trainer for a beginner's first airplane. When it stalls it stalls straight forward but it does it without sinking or mushing first as a warning. The manual says batteries as small at 3s 2200 Mah are suitable which may be true if you are really light on the throttle. For me I find a 3s 3300 Mah provides a good 6 minutes of spirited flying.
