    nice little puller

nice little puller for price & easy to use. good that it has 2 separate size pins for 2 different shaft sizes

  • Most critical review

    Poorly made, almost unusable

This tool might just about remove a plastic worm off a motor such as a Triang Hornby X04, but I doubt it would worry anything made of brass or steel with a push fit. The pins in the end of the threaded parts are not straight and one has a jagged end that needed dressing with a diamond file.

  • Does the job

Does the job but sometimes there isn't a lot of room between the worm gear and the motor so you have to break the end off the motor which presumably isn't a problem as I expect your motor has failed anyway. This is not the fault of the extractor tool it's just the way it is. I've managed to extract 4 worm gears so far and put them on to new motors

  • Good, but is it tough?

Seems well engineered, however I'm a little concerned about the insubstantial "business end". Time will tell how well it stands up to use.

  • Expo gear puller

Have tried the gear puller and it definitely does work took a gear of a 380 motor with no problems good value for money

  • False info

The size of the gap between the two prongs is for too small after a bit of grinding and filing it finally fitted over the washer on my model train motor and i pulled off the worm gear good design but i would go back and check out the sizes 😫😫😫😫🤔😏

  • Easy to use

Super accurate alignment makes removal easy. Slow to leave feedback

  • Ok if you don't won't precision

Pin on end of thread is not concentric with thread had to put in a lathe and correct it/ both the smaller pin not as bad as lager
