You cannot beat the gentle, mocking satire of Flanders & Swann. Some of the satire may be over the heads of someone not of age in the 1960's such as myself who remembers the original recordings. Nonetheless, no one should miss their wit and humour. The team of Armstrong & Miller did some pretty decent imitations on their BBC television series. Their renditions are very good (Miller's impersonation of Swann is spot on), but they fall just a bit short. Different eras, I suppose. We may have lost our ability to offer satire that is clean but nonetheless has ferocious bite!
