Great Package & Awesome Sound for the Price
Purchased this set for my 05' Ram 1500 quad-cab. I Did a simple swap of the factory speakers, still running the factory radio. HUGE difference in sound quality, clarity & bass. The 6x9s have a nice 'punch' to the bass & handle the lower frequencies very well. Again, just being powered by the factory radio (not infinity premium sound package). The 6-1/2s also made a world of a difference sitting in the back seat with more punch in the bass & a lot more clarity in the vocals. The built-in 0db/-3bd on/off button built in to all the speakers to tone down extremely harsh high end frequencies also very nice feature given the 3-way speaker design.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Meh, Small Magnet, Bass Is Mediocre, Mids And Highs Aplenty
When it comes bass the factory infinity speakers from my 05 Jeep Liberty blow these JBL's away. This is comparing by having a JBL in the Driver door and a factory in the passenger door. There is easily twice the bass and vibration coming from the Oem speaker that is of comparable size. I am very surprised of all the rant with these JBL's having so much bass. These have descent sounding mids and highs but are a bit overpowering to me. The little button on the front doesn't seem to change the sound much IMO. If I had 4 of these and a good 15" sub or 2 12"s to balance sound the way I like it bass heavy. Then I would be very pleased with these speakers. I suppose an audiophile would rate these higher than I would since they are after more of an even playing field when it comes to lows, mids, and highs but I think most would agree the highs need turned down a little. What it really boils down to is what makes a great sounding audio system varies and what "a lot" is varies greatly among people. On a budget you probably can't do much better for the price but, if you are a heavy bass loving individual without subs get prepared to be disappointed.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

JBL's ROCK!!!
I've had JBL's in the past & they were awesome. I purchased 4 of the GTO 638's for my 2000 Camaro convertible. Had to do some custom installation for the rears to be able to use the grills, which I have completely modified. I couldn't be happier. The sound quality is unbelievable. Some have said that they don't have enough bass. That's not the case. I listen to classic rock and they deliver plenty of bass with rich, full complete sound. The highs and mids are outstanding.
