Sage Method 7 weight Custom
I have three Sage Method rods. They are very light, expensive, and very fast action. This rod was a custom build 7 weight. It was as nicely built as my Sage factory rods. It casts like a Method should. The wraps and resin placement are flawless, as is the eye alignment. I paid about half the cost of a new Sage. Great to fish with
Having fished many different makes of fly rods, both for fresh and salt water fishing, and having access through a Fly Shop plus a stable of 20 or more fly rods, I have had lots of rods to try. I haven't had the chance to try the new Salt HD, but the 1st generation Salt Rods are magnificent fishing machines. Yes, it might not cast as far as some of the other guns for rods that are out there from Sage, Loomis and others, but it is a great balance between feel and distance that for the average to more experienced fly fisher all purposes will be served. Loads quick for short casts, but enough backbone for 70' footers as well. I'm afraid to try the Salt HD, I don't need another rod!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
