Great value and excellent adjustment options to fit nearly everyone's level of fitness.
I will admit that it was a bit more difficult to set up than I had thought it would be, but once done, it gives an excellent workout. I have not completely probed the extent of it yet, but on the exercises I have tried, it is challenging and provides a great workout, at least for me. For someone who is very advanced it may not challenge you enough, but for me and for most people, I believe it would be all that you would need, especially since you can vary the incline so much which adds greatly to the required exertion. Not only that, you can buy an option to add weights to the unit which would make it very challenging indeed! On the other hand, if you are a beginner, use the lower incline adjustment to be sure that you are not biting off more than you can do. Love my new Total Gym XLS!
I love my new (used) Total Gym XLS! It works beautifully! The only negative is that for a single 67-year old woman like me, it was difficult to set up initially. Fortunately, I found a good instructional video on YouTube. And when I have to tear it down, there are no wheels to easily roll it over to the wall. But I enjoy working out with all the exercise cards that came with it! You can do a lot of different exercises on just the one machine. You can also rapidly go from one exercise to another and one difficulty level to another. I have not found any flaws on this piece of equipment. I bought with the knowledge that there could be some minor imperfections, but if there are I have not found them yet! Love the total gym. As long as person can raise and lower themselves onto slide board, this tool is excellent to enable anyone to stimulate their muscles.
