The Fender Electracoustic Telecoustic Deluxe acoustic/electric guitar lets you enjoy the best of both electric and acoustic sounds. This guitar is the premium model from Fender's Electracoustic series and has many enhanced features that lead to its exceptional sound. This guitar features the body of an acoustic Stratocaster with the headstock of a Telecaster, so its shape will be instantly recognizable even though it is considerably different from what most are used to seeing. The hardware and electronic components are also a high-grade quality, and it is built to ensure the type of reliability that is expected with Fender electric guitars. These versatile guitars can revolutionize the way you play all kinds of music.The top of the body of this Fender Telecoustic Deluxe is made of spruce, while the back and sides are made of laminated mahogany. It has a hollow body, which allows it to be used in settings where you can't plug into any amps, and it uses X-bracing for added support that is both lightweight and durable. It has a maple neck and a rosewood fingerboard with pearl-dot inlays and 21 frets. The neck is 25.5 inches long, and the bridge is made of rosewood as well, which helps add sustain to long notes. It has six die-cast tuners that are lined up in a row, true to the Tele style. It uses a Tusq nut, and the neck is 1.69 inches wide at the nut. Lightweight rockin' fun
I have played many guitars in my nearly 50 years of playing out but I really need something lightweight these days due to physical issues. I have always liked the Telecaster shape and comfort while sitting and that is exactly what you get with this model. It is very user-friendly and feels like an old friend and with the installed electronics you get a good variety of sounds. You might not quite get that Tele twang but there are many useful sounds that fit most popular music. All of this can be had for a bargain price in most cases. I have usually played American and still like to buy American when possible (I have a Chrysler 300 and a Mustang) but this little import works great for my needs.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Telecoustic - electic or acoustic?
This is a very interesting guitar -- the idea of an acoustic guitar that plays like an electric. Acoustically, it is ok, but shines plugged in. I had to do a lot of work on it as the strings are very high and to be perfectly honest, it's not the best of quality. I added playing cards to push the neck up a bit and then tried to straighten the neck tightening the truss rod, but that is sort of a lost cause as it straightened only a little before the truss rod was fully tightened. On a better note, these are great to play if you are Tele person. These are little off balance as the neck weighs more than the body, but it sure is fun to play. I restrung with the lightest acoustic strings I could find and enjoy it a lot. These guitars are notorious for cracking too and I did have one crack to fill. Match on the color not too great, but I can live with that. If you are looking for something a little different with a Tele like I was, these are fun -- just be prepared to work a lot on it to get it where you want. I find playing through an amp with a touch of OD really sounds pretty cool. Deep with a different tone due to the acoustic pickup inside. I like it, but do not pay too much for these -- they need a lot of work. I have not tried a new one so my thoughts are on the older models.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
