WONDERFUL PRACTICE AMP!
A WONDERFUL STRAIGHT FORWARD NO FRILLS GUITAR AMP! This amp is surprisingly loud enough to hear properly, has a fuzztone and also sounds great clean. I used it full volume which makes full distortion but if you cut your volume knob on your guitar down it becomes crystal clean and sparkling highs. I play it with a Fender Stratocaster and it sounds great! Battery operated or with an adapter it works great. Excellent portable bass and guitar amp
I was looking for a portable bass amp to use it everywhere in the house. It's perfect. Sound very good. No distorsion at low volume. And low volume is loud enough to play with radio, percussion, etc. With guitar and High volume It's crazy loud. Impressive. Not sure about the Life of the batteries. Great value for real vintage guitar tones!
Mr. Chatter is a great. The Pignose sounds line a vintage amp that gives you vintage guitar sounds from the 60’s and 70’s. This is a real analog amplifier not digital modeling The. Pignose is hand made and a quality piece of gear that will give many years of enjoyment with its rugged construction and quality components. The Pignose is surprisingly loud and versatile. The output jack allows you to send the Pignose to an amp or power amp/PA. I recommend getting the wall wart to save battery usage for outside use. Even the adapter fits inside of the Pignose. I got the original brown and it goes with home decor very easily. The Pignose can do cleans, overdrive and fuzz tones and does well with single coil pickups. The Pignose is very dynamic and you need to use your volume knob and hand to control the amp, like a real tube amp. Inwish I got a Pignose years ago. Superb sounding amp and smaller than a shoe box!
Superb amp. It has a pre amp out feature which I use in a duo. I go out to the PA and use the amp as a monitor. Turned up it has a raunchy organic rock tone. Think ACDC / Journey. Super portable. I ran it on batteries for 3 straight hours. One thing however - if you are going to run this without batteries it needs a dedicated power supply. Good for the price
Probably only good for practicing at home as is only 5W and has no controls other than volume. I use it with my Snowball Ice mic for recording on my PC, and critical review of my efforts.
