A really great synth.
This synth is really easy to use and it has a big sound. It's not the biggest and baddest synth out there, but it really delivers some high quality sound. Hidden gem is bad as sh...
I stumbled upon the SH-201 looking for Roland gear I may not have known about. This is a powerhouse synth built into a light weight shell. Some may find it’s plastic housing and keys a bit toy like and I would agree but the sounds are very good and the additional software makes it worth the second hand price. For comprehensive tactile immediacy when it comes to creating a sound, this synth will have few rivals. For that with an attractive price point, it likely has no rival. Many musicians may look at this box and think it is too simple but that is not so. There are many hidden features and with an editor and librarian, midi and sync features, it holds its own against it's modern counterparts for functionality and flexibility.
