A basswood body with a bookmatched figured maple top give this Music Man an especially elegant look. Its select maple neck is attached with 5 bolts for perfect alignment and no shifting. The joint is sculpted and neck plate flush mounted to allow smooth access to the highest frets. Pickups are 2 custom DiMarzio humbuckers with 3-way switching. Very Versatile Guitar Music Man Axis
I mostly played a Gibson 335 which is a great guitar in itself. I borrowed this model from my nephew and fell in love with it. He did not want to part with it so I purchased this on. The bridge pickup is clean and compressed and if I pick close to the string saddles, it sounds like a Tele on steroids. The middle position with both pickups sound chimey, clear and well balanced. The neck pickup sounds like a Les Paul neck pup only clearer and is a tone dog. I am not a Floyd Rose user or a fulcrum user really but the mass of that German steel adds to the greatness of its sound and tone. This guitar is clear, articulate, and crisp. Easy to play and as long as I have my hands in the right place, it almost plays itself. No tone knob and it does not need it. I love it just the way it is. I play mostly in a Variety Cover Band and a Classic Rock band. This guitar covers it all. It is now my Number 1 go to guitar...Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Excellent guitar, great price!
This guitar plays and sounds great! I have been playing professionally for many years and this one is already been a go-to for my next show. This was my first guitar purchase online. I was a bit skeptical, but I figured I would give it a try. It came right out of the box feeling great, perfect intonation. I only made a couple small tweaks to the pickup level.
