Epiphone Goth Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar

About this product

Product Information

Along with its Fender counterparts, the Gibson Les Paul Electric Guitar has been a staple in the guitar industry for decades. Luckily, Gibson has figured out a way to bring the premium quality of a Gibson Les Paul to a wider audience. The company has done this with its Epiphone Les Paul Studio line, which is ideal for players of all skill levels. The Epiphone and Gibson Les Paul Studio guitars are produced differently than the Standard or Custom models. This is due in part to its less flashy finish. Because of this, the studio guitars have a more vintage vibe to them. With this instrument, Gibson and Epiphone have stepped it up to bring a high-quality guitar to musicians worldwide. When you add accessories like a hard case, your Epiphone Les Paul will be just as stage-worthy as any Gibson model. With the Goth Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar, you can explore your darker nature while enjoying the qualities that make this guitar an excellent instrument. Epiphone, a child company of Gibson, is known for building guitars with a characteristic resonant tone and smooth action. This Goth Les Paul is no exception. After Les Paul began working with Gibson to produce guitars that he envisioned, he then started working closely with Epiphone to design guitars that players of all skill levels could enjoy. "Epiphone always made a good guitar," Les himself would say fondly. The Les Paul Studio was an important innovation of Les Paul’s classic dream guitar, and it's obvious why.Two powerful Alnico humbucker pickups provide all the sound you expect from a Gibson Les Paul. They offer the sustaining resonance for all your gothic rock music needs. The original Alnico humbuckers and pre-strung D'Addario strings also allow for a wider variety of sounds, including rock, blues, and jazz notes. Inclusion of the stopbar tailpiece and LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge means that you are always in tune no matter how hard you shred with the bass and drums. You can even throw in keyboards with your electric guitar, and it will still sound amazing. With its black ebony satin finish, this instrument maintains a classic Gibson Les Paul look while keeping a gothic vibe. The pitch-black chrome hardware and satin black mahogany body give this Les Paul the ready-to-rock gothic look. The low profile mahogany neck is layered with a rosewood fingerboard. It gives it just enough bass and mids to crank out rocking sounds from any of the amps it is played from. A Celtic cross inlay is featured on the head and a Roman numeral 12 sit at the 12th fret. These design elements add to the overall gothic look of the guitar when your stage performance needs that extra intense look.

  • One of the best under $500 guitars I have ever played.

I have been playing guitar for over 50 years, and have owned a number of Gibson, Ibanez and PRS guitars among others. I was stunned at the sound and playability of this guitar. I wanted a Les Paul guitar with a Floy Rose Tremelo, to see if I would go further down that road to the Axcess or Alex Lifeson guitar, (which are 10-15X the money of this one) The answer is yes, but this one will go to gigs with me, and I have played it as Number 1 in several gigs, to great success. Quality, sound, overall workmanship are surprizing. Dean Pompton Lakes, NJ

  • Best of both worlds guitar!

The one i got was pretty used. But it has great sound, playability. Nice LP sound but with a FR tremolo. Blues sounds nice but goes to heavy and hrd without blinking. Wish they still made Epi LPs with tremolos! if you find one- grab it.

  • WELL WORTH THE MONEY!

I have had more than a few Epiphone Les Paul's in my life and depending where they are made or on what hour of the day it was made and by whom it can be hit or miss. This guitar was a hit. Setup and intonation spot on right out of the box! The satin black has a WOW factor to it. The pickups are very good compared to some Epiphone Les Paul's I have had.. Not overly noisy. Not ringy. It does clean and it does crunch fairly effortlessly. Mine plays like butter and I am satisfied with this purchase.
