About this product

Product Information

The Classic Vibe Telecaster 50s has a look to die for - 50s blackguard' Tele vibe! The Vintage Blonde over pine body totally resonates and you'll be hard pressed to tell whether or not you are holding a premium ash body guitar! Of course pine is not a foreign wood to guitar making or Fender history for that matter. Early single and dual pickup Esquire guitars were made with pine bodies. Featuring a 21 fret vintage tint gloss maple neck with the modern playability of a 9. 5 radius and medium jumbo frets & outfitted with a custom set of AlNiCo III single-coil pickups, this Tele has tone that can really hang with the big boys clear note separation even in distorted modes and dynamically responsive with a strong midrange & high end bite for leads!Classic Vibe! Back in 1982, the very first Squier by Fender guitars and basses came ringing out of Asia."

  • Squier fender replaces the original fender

Years ago I had a 1964 sunburst fender telecaster. Not knowing what I had back then, I ended up trading it for a used Gibson Les Paul back in the early '90's. When I saw this one on eBay it looked almost identical to the original Fender I had back then. I don't know if it sounds or plays as well as the original, but to me it plays very good and with the updates it has on it, it sounds perfect. I love the Gator case it came in too. Very much fun to play. I did add a bridge cover and replaced the neck plate that had Squier on it, to make it look more like an original Fender. It may not be worth $5000.00 but it is worth the $460.00 I got tied up in it. I may be crazy but I wouldn't take $460.00 for it today. It's here to stay!

  • Classic Vibe 50's Telecaster

Great sounding and playing guitar. The only complaint I have is that it's really heavy. 8lbs 14.7ounces. I was really surprised that a pine bodied guitar would be that heavy. That was one of the reasons I bought it thinking the pine would make it light. Other then that great guitar. If you don't mind the weight you'll love this guitar.

  • Nice guitar - especially for cost.

There is a spot around the 8 fret that frets out a bit. A little filing will take care of that. Other than that I am really pleased with this guitar! Neck feels real good. And, it has that tele twang. Its not my go-to guitar, but its a nice change of pace.

  • Go ahead, get it.

Play it all the time -- haven't bought a new guitar in years, but this is my 3rd ever Tele (got rid of other two years ago) and it's got me learning again like I just picked up guitar in high school. Smooth playing, put some new strings on it and play through a VOX StompLAB pedal.

  • Can't be beat for the price

I figured it would need upgraded pickups right out of the box. Not so. Both pickups give good tele sounds, the switching is quiet, no hums or buzzes. The neck plays clean as country water. You would have to spend about three times the money to get a better Telecaster.

  • Best value 50s style Tele ever

I like that it has a pine body. Nice and solid. I also prefer a gloss maple fretboard instead of the satin finish crap going around for the last 2 decades. Decent pickups. Unbelievable value.

  • The Squier classic Vibe tele.

This is a great little guitar, from fit to finish. Thinking about purchasing the Squier classic vibe custom and The Squier classic vibe blond.

  • Sweet Guitar - Cheap Price

I have played guitar for decades and this is my favorite. It is my "go to" guitar by far. Would hate to loose it and would buy another right away. Feels like a good old Tele. Even more so than my American Standard I had. Highly recommended.

  • Excellent value.

This Guitar exceeds my expectations of an instrument in this price range. Beautiful instrument and fantastic value if your buying in the lower-mid price range.

  • Naturalized Sguire

I had the switch and pots changed to American made and a Seymour Duncan neck pickup installed. I love this chunky piece of Americana. Even though it was born in China.
