Much brighter than the original bulbs
The footwell lights on my A4 B8 were already white LEDs (original equipment), but the puddle lights in the doors were regular bulbs that weren't very bright and put out quite a lot of heat. These lights connected up really easily and just clipped in exactly as the originals did. They're a lot brighter, meaning that they actually serve their purpose - when you open the door in the dark, you can see what you're about to step into.

Required mod to vehicle aperture hole size...
Cross referenced original part number with list etc, for my VW model and these seemed to be the correct ones; however, there was no way they would fit without modifying the apertures the footwells. Used craft knife to trim areas that fouled lamp from fitting. Also found that for LED's they get very hot, especially the metal top plate, so make sure there is an air gap above. Only 3* and no recommendation as they should have fitted without modifying.

Considerably brighter than original
The light is a lot brighter and a different temperature colour (warmer) to the original Audi A1 lights in the footwell, doors and boot. If you are replacing a footwell or door light then I'd recommend moving the light from the boot to the footwell/door so it matches and saves you £30+ for just one original light direct from Audi. This aftermarket light can then be installed in the boot where a brighter light is a benefit. Great value.

Doesn't fit my 2005 GTi Mk5
The plug pins seem to get in the way and do not mate with the car's connector easily at all. I gave up after spending half an hour just trying to plug the thing in. Otherwise, they are solidly built, well packaged and look like they'd be great.

Nice bright LEDs to replace the original yellow bulbed units. Basically plug and play except I had to file one edge down ever so slightly to get it to hook into place, but this will depend on the application. I'm considering buying 4 more to use in my doors for the puddle lights
