Product Information
The Kodak Brownie 127 is from the Kodak Brownie series of simple point and shoot camera models with plastic bodies. The Kodak Brownie 127 cameras were manufactured in three models, all with different designs and specifications. The Kodak Brownie medium format camera had an eye-level viewfinder and used paper-backed 127 roll film measuring 4.6 cm wide that stored eight images in the 4 cm by 6.5 cm format. The first Kodak Brownie medium format camera had an f/14 65 mm fixed-focus Meniscus lens and single shutter speed at 1/50 s. The second Brownie 127 with the f/11 plastic Dakon lens also used 127 format film roll, had a rotary shutter speed of 1/50 s, and a focal length distance of 1.5 m (5 feet) to infinity. Colour images were taken during bright sunshine and sharp close-up shots required a Kodisk lens, if subjects were at distances ranging between 0.8 m and 1.2 m (2.5 feet and 4 feet). The last Kodak Brownie medium format camera had an f/14 51 mm plastic lens and a faster shutter speed at 1/40 s. For close-up shots, the no. 235 Brownie close-up lens was used as an attachment. Manual winding on this point and shoot camera ensured that the exposed film was removed and replaced by the next film and therefore the user had to be alert while spooling the film.Product Identifiers
