Great sounding sub
This is a fantastic addition to a desktop stereo system (Nad D 3020 & Q Acoustics 2010i) - hidden neatly out of view and providing a considerable addition to the lower frequencies. It’s all too easy to overdo the bass – but once adjusted correctly (and this is straightforward), the bass blends seamlessly with the stereo speakers. Obviously, if you like to exaggerate the bass frequencies – the choice is yours. The sub provides input for both speaker (HI) level input (this feeds directly from the speakers or amp, but does not affect the output to the speakers in any way) and a LO input, to be used with a sub/pre out channel on the amplifier. Both can be used simultaneously and levels can be individually adjusted. My system sounded pretty good before – but now it sounds great, filling out the lower end and providing plenty of slam to movie effects. There are bigger subs that probably go a lot lower, but this is a nice compact unit, that can be hidden away and is very good with music.
