The inclusion of throttle trigger interlock in this chainsaw prevents accidental acceleration of its engine that could cause harm to you. The Stihl 011 is designed with two fluid reservoirs - one for fuel and oil mixture that runs the engine and one for bar chain lubrication system. The diaphragm carburetor of this Stihl chainsaw allows operation at any angle without loss of fuel or engine cut-out, essential for hard to reach areas. Tough little saw.
These old Stihls, especially the all metal ones, are tough little buggers and easy to work on. I have 3 of these, two for use and one for parts. The one I've had for 30 years, all I had to do was put in a carb kit and it runs like new.
