The STIHL MS460 uses a recoil starting system, and it has a large Elasto-Start handle that makes it easy to operate while wearing gloves. The engine has one cylinder and runs on a 50:1 mixture of unleaded gasoline and high-quality, two-stroke oil. The capacity of the fuel tank is a generous 27.1 ounces. An IntelliCarb system automatically adjusts the air-to-fuel ratio to ensure maximum performance, so you do not have to hassle with manual carburetor adjustments. The saw also has an automatic oiler system for the bar and chain to keep them safely lubricated during operation. Refilling the fuel and oiler system tans is made easier by the toolless caps, which are opened and locked by hand. The powerhouse is protected from contaminants by a heavy-duty air filter. I thought it looked like a good deal...
I built my saw and it started and ran great but I had bar oil coming out of a strange spot. I cleaned the hole out and looked with a flashlight and you can see the casting hole defect as clear as day. Not happy to have to repair a brand new set of cases.
